Riding The Struggle Bus

I have been riding this struggle bus for the past two weeks. All I want to do is sleep and forget about homework, which equals my future career since I am now a poor college student. And if I ever want to get money again I have to do my homework so I can get a well paying job to live in this world.

Yesterday was Monday, everyone's favorite day of the week, and I forgot all about having my statistics homework due...this was the second time this has happened. I had that feeling that something was due, but I forgot to write it down so when I went to look it up I was just like "I guess I am just being paranoid." I should have listened to my gut feeling!!! I got some of the work done in class so I am not going to get a total zero on that assignment, and on the plus side I get two homework drops so it looks like I have found those.

This weekend wasn't very good for my whole being healthy thing. I started out the weekend by telling myself "you are going to be healthy and not eat everything in sight." Well that didn't exactly work especially since I went home and my mom had left me an Easter basket full of yummy, delicious candy that I devoured in the probably the first hour of being home. Then I proceeded to make myself a frozen pizza and eat all of it but two slices, which was 3/4 of the pizza or if you are a percentage person 75%. So I told myself that I was going to get up and run the next day since it was supposed to be nice and then I was going to do some of my assignments that are due in the next week. Well, the next day rolled around and I rolled out of bed at the early time of 12:30pm. This didn't mean I could go for a run, but it was a sign of nothing was going to get accomplished. So I made myself the nutritious breakfast of what Easter candy was left and pop-tarts. I then laid in bed until 2 watching TV until I realized I was supposed to go let my friend's dogs out of their kennels so they could some of their energy out...I was supposed to do this at noon. So I threw on some publicly acceptable clothes and ran around with the dogs so I was like "Okay I got some exercise in." To only come back and make myself a chocolate cake because I wanted to eat chocolate cake batter. I then did a pinterest workout because I felt guilty, and I didn't get around to actually icing the cake until 10:30 at night. But once that icing was on I ate almost half of the cake.

So as you can tell I did terrible on my whole healthy lifestyle thing this weekend, but I am determined to get back on track. As the quote goes "Today is another chance, make yourself proud"

Thanks for your time

Back on Track

I know this probably won't be seen by many people seeing as it has been a few months since I have posted. The cause of this is nothing other than the wonderful college life I live of constantly doing homework and studying. I have been really caught up in my studies, but now it is time to catch you up with what is happening.

On my last post I talked about how being more social has caused me to not eat as healthy and I would start to not exercise as much. Well I recently have gotten back into the habit of working out at least five times a week. I am still struggling with eating the best foods since I had gotten used to eating the foods that weren't the best for me. I am eating a lot more healthier and I still allow myself occasionally to splurge. With all of this change, I have been able to see some results, but I am not to my goal quite yet. Even though I have been working out more, I have been slacking on the running aspect. I have missed it a lot, and I am trying to get back into it by running outside on occasions along with a couple times on the treadmill. I used to always run on the treadmills, but I now go to the rec center and their treadmills are different and I also don't like to run in front of a lot people. The treadmills in my dorm is much more secluded. I do a lot more work outs on the machines now.

Off the topic of being healthy, my schooling this semester is a lot harder because I am in classes to help prepare me for clinic next year. I also have classes helping me diagnose certain language disorders and how to administer certain tests. In this class, I have to actually administer two tests to my professor and his GA. When I have to do this my professor acts like a little child which can be very interesting.

Something monumental that I did in the past two weeks was that I got my very first tattoo. This is monumental tome because the tattoo is for my two best friends that are more like sisters. This represents that our friendship will last forever and even if something does end up happening where we would not be as close as we are now I will never regret our friendship. Therefore, I will not regret my tattoo for them.
